How long will they last? The extensions can last up to 4-8 weeks depending on your own natural lash
growth cycle and how you take care of them. Nearly all of our clients have
become addicted to and can't image doing without their new thick, long lashes.
As your natural individual lashes shed at the end of their continuous growth
cycle, the lash extension on the eyelash will fall out too. In order to
keep your lashes looking full and great, maintenance appointments to "fill" your
lashes are needed approximately every 3 weeks. A complimentary touch-up,
within 14 days, will be scheduled before you leave your first appointment.
What to do before my appointment
The initial full-set application can take between 1-2 hours, which you will
be laying down with your eyes closed. Please plan to relax during this
time. If your wear contacts or glasses, please remove them when you arrive.
Do not curl your lashes before you come. However, if your natural lashes
are light in color, it is recommended to tint your lashes before your
appointment. Your new lashes will appear much thicker if your own lashes
have been tinted prior.
Do they look fake?
A good professional application will enhance your own lashes and will look
and feel very natural. The synthetic lashes come in various lengths and
thicknesses to customize your look.
How do I take care of my new lashes?
Do not get lash extensions wet for 24 hours and avoid hot steam from the
shower or sauna for 48 hours. Occasional short visits to the steam room is
fine, however, daily or extensive exposure to steam or intense heat may cause
the bonding agent to loosen. You will be given After Care instructions
before you leave your first appointment. Do not rub your eyes excessively
when you clean them. Avoid any oil-based cleansers, moisturizers, or
make-up removers. Use only gel-based cleansers and oil-free eye make-up
removers to remove makeup and clean your lashes. Do not use cotton or
Q-tips near your lashes as the cotton will get caught in your new lashes.
Can I get them wet?
Absolutely! One of the best benefits of eyelash extensions are having
gorgeous eyelashes 24-7, including swimming in the pool or ocean worry-free.
Please be careful not to rub your eyes with hands or cotton towels after getting
out of the water. The better care you take of your lashes, typically the
longer they will stay beautiful.
Can I use an eyelash curler?
No. Your new lashes will already have a beautiful curl to them.
Eyelash curlers can be damaging and will break both your natural and synthetic
lashes.
Can I still wear mascara if I want to?
Yes- but only a water-based product that will easily wash off
without having to scrub. Waterproof mascara is a no-no because the
cleaning agents will loosen the lash adhesive. Your new lashes will
already appear thicker and longer and most clients do not see the need for
mascara.
